Wordplay: What We Do

Wordplay Publishing was set up in 1989 and has been publishing a growing portfolio of quality visitor, site and walking guides ever since. We create guides both for direct retail sale through tourist information centres and other outlets, and as commissions for major clients including country parks, councils and The National Trust.

Guides for Sale: Example

The handy, concertina folded 'Walk around Chester Walls' guide is a popular best seller. Using intuitive picture maps, numbered points of interest, a timechart and copious mixed media illustrations, the tour gives visitors a fascinating insight into the ancient walled city.

Distinctive Guides

Wordplay guides use a still-evolving palette of advanced structural and design techniques to achieve their distinctive look, appeal and content. Impressive sales and positive client feedback clearly demonstrate their popularity with both property managers and the public. These are arguably some of the best guides to be found anywhere.

Commissioned Guides: Examples

These walking guides are part of a continuing series commissioned by The National Trust. Each contains an introductory overview of the property, picture map, timeline, and themed walks exploring points of interest.
